The decision that was made in South Carolina today to keep the "Confederate Battle Flag" at full staff over the grounds of the state capitol ranks up there with all the other demonstrations of bad faith and phony concern. It's a symbol of racist heritage and it tells you exactly what South Carolina's leaders think of the idea of racial equality.
They're never going to take it down, no matter how much money or goodwill it costs them. These are people caught in their own contradictions, hoping that no one will notice which God they actually worship.
It's not the one that the people in that church were worshipping, not by a damned sight.
