You Must Resist

I have spent the better part of a week wondering why it matters to comment on things, and I doubt I'll ever have the right answer.

In the case of Juli Briskman, resistance to Trumpism is the only sane thing out there. It really is. I thought her firing meant that I should "get out of the arena." No, that's wrong. The fact that Birkman was fired only means one thing--you must resist.

We all should be resisting Trumpism. We should be encouraged by the fact that Republicans and moderates are resisting Trumpism. We should support anyone who resists at all costs. We shouldn't just stay in the arena, we should do amazing things while we are here.

It took me a few days to realize this. Everyone has their limit to what they can stand, and I am continually reaching my limit with today's political and social situation. Questions that were settled decades ago are being litigated again and again now, and it's as if all of the pain and suffering that got us here was for nothing. I certainly hope not
