More Bad News For Trump's Mouthpiece

The facts emerge slowly from these people, and it's almost as if they think that they're going to get away with something:

New documents turned over to federal investigators reveal two previously unreported contacts between Trump Organization associates and Russian leaders during the 2016 campaign, The Washington Post reported Monday. In one incident Michael Cohen—President Trump’s personal attorney and business associate—exchanged emails with a Russian real estate developer about attending an economic conference in Russia just weeks before the Republican National Convention. The exchange reportedly included promises that Cohen could be introduced to Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, top financial leaders, and possibly Russian President Vladimir Putin. A Russian billionaire and politician also sent Cohen a proposal in late 2015 for a Moscow residential project, the second time Trump-Moscow project was proposed during the presidential campaign. Cohen reportedly declined the invitation to the conference and rejected the Moscow proposal.

You would think they would be smart enough to get all of this out there. You would be wrong.

President Trump’s longtime lawyer, Michael D. Cohen, has given Congress a point-by-point rebuttal of a dossier alleging that he has deep ties to Russian officials — an effort to clear his name as the Justice Department and congressional committees investigate Russia’s attempts to disrupt last year’s election.

Mr. Cohen encouraged lawmakers to investigate those who paid for the salacious 35-page dossier, which surfaced online early this year and alleges that President Trump and his campaign conspired with Russia in the November election. The dossier, compiled by a retired British spy, portrays Mr. Cohen as a central figure in the conspiracy.

In an eight-page letter to the House Intelligence Committee, a lawyer for Mr. Cohen offered a full-throated rejection of any suggestion that Mr. Cohen was involved in an effort to work with Russia to disrupt the election.

“We have not uncovered a single document that would in any way corroborate the dossier’s allegations regarding Mr. Cohen, nor do we believe that any such document exists,” wrote the lawyer, Stephen M. Ryan.

Because of all the evidence that keeps coming out, I think it's safe to say these people have no credibility left.
