This is an excellent example of how blogging can help people understand other cultures. Why is it that the Japanese are uncomfortable with skinship (hugging, giving each other bro hugs, things like that) and what does it say about modern culture?
Bro hugs are a way of life for many people. If explained correctly, they are no different than warriors of old who embraced each other to show fidelity and kinsmanship.
I did notice one thing, though. Japanese girls at Disneyland usually hold hands so they won't get separated in the crowds.
