This is Where You Bail on Tracy Morgan

I think Tracy Morgan had a lot of potential. I have liked almost everything he's been in. But he needs to find a new line of work:
Tina Fey says she is "glad to hear" that Tracy Morgan has apologized for violent anti-gay remarks he made June 3 during a comedy concert in Nashville.
Among them: Morgan said that if his son were gay he "would pull out a knife and stab" him.
"Stand-up comics may have the right to 'work out' their material in its ugliest and rawest form in front of an audience,' said Fey in a statement, "but the violent imagery of Tracy's rant was disturbing to me ... "
She continued, "It also doesn't line up with the Tracy Morgan I know, who is not a hateful man and is generally much too sleepy and self-centered to ever hurt another person."
A lot of stand-up comics work out material that doesn't involve killing their own children just because they are gay. Those guys are probably the ones you want to hire to be on your show.

Morgan's rant was breathtakingly evil. His apology was probably sincere. But when you say what he said, you lose your fantastic opportunities and wonderful show business privileges. I have to say, though, that my sympathies are with Tina Fey here. She has had to endure the twin insanities of working with an over-the-top Alec Baldwin and a disturbingly troubled Tracy Morgan. No one deserves to spend several years working with two men who, on any given occasion, can and will say things that would normally consign someone to oblivion.
