This Will Teach People Not to Leak Information

Oh, to be a general in modern America.

General David Petraeus handed the woman that you see pictured above some of the Pentagon's most sensitive material and his punishment is little more than a slap on the wrist. In any other line of work, he'd face felony charges and have a criminal defense attorney huddled next to him, trying to come up with a way to remove his ass from a sling.

I mean, this is hilarious:

a $40,000 fine and two years of probation.

That'll convince people that there's a single standard of conduct, won't it? Preferential treatment? Hells no, baby.

You can rail about Chelsea (Bradley) Manning all you want, but the material he leaked was no where near as sensitive as the material intentionally mishandled by the good General. He can look forward to a long life of pension and benefits for himself and for his family.

Does that poor woman get her career and her good name back? Of course not. She is the debris left behind by people who apply the law to the elites in a manner fitting of their station. You peasants, hush.
