The Frisky Mole Boy of Groton

Norman Rogers recounts the summer he spent hiding from the stern love of his father and living as the world-famous “frisky mole boy” in the Groton, Connecticut sewer system. The Frisky Mole Boy of Groton seduced the women of the town and solved crimes, all while subsisting on a steady diet of depravity and confusion.

Rampage of the Innocents is my unfinished but brilliant Historical Romance Novel (now, with more sex and violence for my teenaged readers)

I Shall Never Give Up Fighting to Preserve the American Way of Life

Occasionally, you stumble across something that illuminates the brilliance of what you’ve been doing with your free time.

I had that moment today. It’s fitting to close out 2009 with this, rather than some lame-assed attempt at looking back.

I never look back, unless it informs the present or the future. I believe that you can always look at what you’ve done in order to tell everyone where you are going. There are no lamentations for me, no hoary rhapsodizing about how things were once better. Hell no, they were not. In the olden days, everything was crap. Things are a thousand times better now. Ever owned a Mac Classic or a Dodge Charger or a Walkman? Those things actually sucked, and they sucked badly, and no one can tell me otherwise.

I am no sentimental jackass, although, yes, I did enjoy reading books to my daughter. How do I reconcile this? Because I’m not lame and I never give up, sir. I am always leaning forward in the foxhole. I am always frosty and ready for action. I walk on the balls of my feet and bounce because I have always had a frisky way of carrying myself.

Here’s another pile of roadkill that gave up, surrendered, and walked away from blogging:

First, let me thank you for reading Heroes of Capitalism. While I still believe that honoring true heroes who have used private property to create wealth is valuable, I have come to believe that there is something of greater value to which I must dedicate my private time and resources.

The past year has brought about risks to our liberty that cannot be ignored. The call for socialized health care, the blame of free markets for the financial crisis and the renewal of reliance on government to fix all evils is only the short list of concerns. It has weighed on my heart that Heroes of Capitalism as a blog is simply not doing enough to promote and protect liberty.

Let me assure you that as Heroes of Capitalism stops production, as an individual I will continue to promote and fight for liberty. Let me encourage you to take stock of the present and ask what future you want. The U.S. is at an important crossroads, and we as citizens can (and must) do more to defend our basic liberties. So let me leave you with a challenge. I challenge you to do more. I challenge you to take stock of what resources you have and what you are doing with them. I challenge you to hold on to your precious liberty while you still can.

    In liberty,

    Ann
Oh, the melodrama. Health Care Reform has been a bust, and the future of the Republic has never been in question. Thankfully, we had more than a handful of Democrat Senators who were willing to sell their votes for filthy lucre and this allows me to maintain my solid grip on pessimism. My comment to this timid, shaking leaf flitting in the wind was fairly obvious. I said:
Don’t you think that it would have been a better use of your time to keep talking about the heroes of capitalism?
I mean, when you give up like this, you’re essentially telling people that capitalism is no longer worth celebrating, and that, in turn, emboldens the terrorists.
If you don’t have the stomach to fight, then stand aside, sob sister, because I shall never stop fighting. I am an American lion.
That’s what I leave you with, until we kick in and start doing this all over again on 1 January 2010. I am in this fight forever. I am an American Lion. There’s no quit in me.
