A Quick Observation

President Obama, Dover AFB
I'd feel better if you had done this WITHOUT the media being involved.
A military chaplain accompanied Obama and other officials onboard and said a prayer over each casket before it was transferred out of the aircraft, military officials said.
Most of the event was closed to media and journalists were only allowed to see the transfer of the last casket.
MOST of the event? Why the hell not ALL of the event? You're the Commander in Chief. Let them snap their photos AFTER you have done what you should do EVERY time a fallen soldier comes home.
Whatever.
How hard would it have been to, you know, go do this and not have the photographers catch your good side here?
President Obama, Dover AFB
I realize this is needless carping, but if you're going to do something decent and honorable, it DOES NOT have to be a ready-made photo opportunity designed to make you look like a Commander-in-Chief who cares, when, for all intents and purposes, you haven't been paying attention for the last ten months. The cynic in me is fair-minded enough to point out that, if this had been Bush, liberals would be screaming about the manipulation. My message to all is, they're not props. They are NOT props.
Anyway, good job, Rahm Emmanuel. This will play well with the little old ladies and the kids. With the cynical adults who can see through this sort of thing, perhaps not as well as you would hope.
